Mike Blackwell is committed to making MikeyBlackwell.com (the "Site") reasonably accessible and usable for as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. The Site is operated personally by Mike Blackwell and is intended primarily for a general adult audience in the United States.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. Technologies, standards, content, and third-party services change over time, and I welcome feedback that helps identify and remove barriers.
1. Accessibility goal
My goal is to improve the Site in alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, where reasonably practicable. WCAG is an internationally recognized set of recommendations for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
The Site has not undergone a comprehensive independent accessibility audit, and I do not claim that every page, feature, or item of third-party content fully conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA at this time.
2. Measures supporting accessibility
As the Site is reviewed and updated, reasonable efforts may include:
using clear page titles, headings, labels, and link text;
providing text alternatives for meaningful images where practicable;
maintaining readable text, sufficient color contrast, and visible focus indicators;
supporting keyboard navigation for Site-controlled features;
avoiding unnecessary flashing or motion and providing controls when supported;
adding captions, transcripts, or descriptive information for audio and video when reasonably available and appropriate;
using Wix accessibility tools and reviewing Site pages after significant design or content changes; and
considering accessibility when selecting new Site features, applications, and third-party services.
These measures describe an ongoing goal and process. They are not a representation that every item has been fully implemented on every page.
3. Platform and technical environment
The Site is built and hosted using Wix. Accessibility may depend on the interaction among Site content, Wix templates and components, web browsers, operating systems, assistive technologies, and third-party applications.
The Site is intended to work with reasonably current versions of commonly used browsers and assistive technologies. Older or unsupported browsers, devices, or assistive technologies may not provide the same experience.
4. Third-party content and services
Some portions of the experience are supplied or controlled by third parties rather than by me. These include:
embedded YouTube videos;
embedded Spotify music or audio players;
the Shopify-powered merchandise store and checkout;
social-media and music-platform features; and
links to external websites and applications.
I do not control the code, accessibility features, captions, labels, interfaces, or continuing availability of those services. A third-party feature may not meet the same accessibility goals as the Site. When you follow an external link, the accessibility practices and policies of that service apply.
5. Known and possible limitations
Despite reasonable efforts, visitors may encounter limitations, including:
embedded music or video players that are difficult to use with some keyboards or assistive technologies;
older audio or video content for which complete captions, transcripts, or audio descriptions are not available;
images, archived materials, or promotional artwork that may need improved alternative text;
third-party merchandise, checkout, social-media, or music-platform interfaces outside my direct control; and
differences in behavior among browsers, devices, and assistive technologies.
If you encounter one of these issues, please contact me. When reasonably possible, I will try to provide the requested information through an accessible alternative or work with the relevant service provider to address the problem.

7. Assessment and continuing improvement
Accessibility may be reviewed through a combination of Wix accessibility tools, manual checks, visitor feedback, and updates made when barriers are identified. The Site may be reassessed after significant redesigns, new features, or changes to third-party services.
8. Changes to this statement
This Accessibility Statement may be updated as the Site, applicable standards, available technology, or accessibility practices change. The latest version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
